Haven House Childrens Hospice is a special place for special children. They care for children and young people between the ages of 0 to 19 who have life-limiting conditions and who are unlikely to reach adulthood. They help families by providing a range of services that include day, short break and end of life care, together with therapeutic play in the community. Families can find the support they need when they need it most at no cost to themselves.
Haven House is a happy place that deals with hard events and realities in peoples lives. They are not a place where a child simply goes to die, but a home from home environment in which they care for children and families throughout their lives.
A childrens hospice is then a place where a child comes to live life as fully as they are able and we are privileged to be a part of this experience.
A life limited child may live for a number of years and our intention is to recognise the value and preciousness of this time together as we support the family over the childs life time.
The Hospice looks after children and their families in Central and North East London and West Essex.
